The Female Core Workshop
Strengthening your core takes more than just doing crunches, and during pregnancy core strength takes on a whole new meaning. This workshop is designed to give a deeper understanding to what we know as “The Core” and how its balance and function serves a greater purpose in the prenatal body. We will explore breath, the anatomy and movement inspired by traditional Pilates exercises. This workshop welcomes special guest Dr. Nikki Cohen DPT to give us a different perspective of The Core by first taking a look at it’s relationship with the Pelvic Floor.
This core workshop is encouraged for prenatal mamas but is open to all looking to get a deeper connection in their Pilates practice
Dr. Nikki Cohen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy that specializes in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, Visceral Mobilization and Craniosacral Therapy. She is passionate about working with women as they journey through pregnancy and into motherhood. She feels that this is potentially one of the most powerful times in a woman’s life and she is honored to be a part of it. On her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, cuddling with her cat, and watching movies.
